Product Specifications
An active Gas Exchange membership enables the trader to trade on the Spot Market (Within-Day, Day Ahead and Weekend contracts) and Futures Market.
- Within-Day contracts:
- Tradable on a 24/7 basis without interruption
- Continuous trading
- Rest of day product with a lead time of 3 hours based on the next full hour to 6 a.m. (d or d+1)
- Minimum contract size of 1 MWh/h or multiple
- All concluded deals will nominated from ECC on your behalf.
- Hourly contracts:
- Tradable on a 24/7 basis without interruption
- Continuous trading
- Each Hourly Spot Contract will be introduced into trading in such way that it is tradable for at least 24 hours.
- Trading in Hourly Spot Contracts begins at maximum 27 hours and ends three (3) hours (lead time) prior to the beginning of their respective delivery period.
- Minimum contract size of 1 MWh/h or multiple
- All concluded deals will be nominated from ECC on your behalf.
- Day Ahead and Weekend contracts:
- Day Ahead, Weekend and Saturday and Sunday contracts are tradable on 24/7 basis
- Trading of the respective delivery period is offered one day before (d+1). Trading of the weekend contract, delivery gas day Saturday and Sunday, is offered on Thursday and Friday.
- Minimum contract size is 1 MWh/h or multiple, all contracts will be delivered as a base load product.
- Futures Contracts:
- Month, quarter, season and year contracts are tradable from 08:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m.
- Minimum contract size is 1 MWh/h or multiple, all contracts will be delivered as a base load product.
